It is devastating to see orphaned baby orangutans still arriving at our doorstep! We have just taken in this 6-month-old female orangutan, who was found wandering alone near a village area without her mother. She is malnourished and severely underweight, but lucky to have made it to our centre in time.
In addition to extensive physical, emotional, and medical care this sweet little girl also needs a name, and we would like your help to choose one!
The chosen name will be announced Tuesday, March 5th.
We work to save the orangutan by rescuing and rehabilitating them, with an ultimate goal of releasing them back to the forest where they will be safe from human development, poaching and farming.
